Smart Smiles is a school-based oral health
program that focuses on dental disease
prevention. We provide care to children
at school to ensure they have access
to oral healthcare. If you would like our
program to come to your school, please

How it works
No Cost
There is no cost to the child or the family for our services, but private insurance or Medicaid/CHIP will be billed if eligible. See a school representative to determine if your child might be eligible for Medicaid/CHIP.
Dental Exam
Your child will receive a dental examination by a dentist and an oral health assessment and preventive services by a dental hygienist. All restorative dental needs will be referred to your current dental home provider or a partnering community dental office/clinic.

Your child will receive one or more of the following preventive services:
* Dental exam
* Oral health assessment
* Dental x-rays as needed
* Dental cleaning
* Dental sealants
* Application of SDF
* Fluoride varnish
How we help
Children in need
ProSmiles is our award winning mobile dentistry service. We provide our
amazing service to local companies onsite. For every insured employee
we see, we commit to help a local elementary school child
that cant afford to see the dentist through Smart Smiles.
Tele-dentistry
We do our best to come to you, but when we can’t, we’re here for you through our partnership with Denticare. If you have a dental concern and would like to visit with one of our dentists before deciding if you need to have it treated, Denticare can help. Their process is simple, you will talk to a dentist face to face and the cost is minimal. And you can do the whole thing from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere else).
